Here you can find information regarding Vancouver alto sax player Saul Berson's music and performing groups such as the Saul Berson Quartet, the Saul Berson Trio, duo Caviar and Lace, as well as solo performances.

The Saul Berson Quartet provides an eclectic mix of jazz that Cadence Magazine describes as "music that creates an intense set of Arabian rhythms and…is a delirious mess of Tango and Klezmer". The quartet features Saul Berson on alto sax and clarinet, Tony Wilson on guitar, Kim Darwin on accordion and piano, Paul Blaney on acoustic bass. The Saul Berson Trio is a Vancouver-based ensemble of professional musicians playing a wide array of the well-known jazz standards. Their extensive repertoire includes the songs of Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and George Gershwin, as well as a large collection of international melodies. The Trio has also released a CD of Christmas/seasonal favourites - jazz arrangements of holiday songs and standards.

Caviar and Lace includes Michelle Carlisle, a member of two local Celtic bands, and Saul Berson, performing for intimate gatherings, seniors' centres, concerts, art galleries, and many other possibilities.

Saul teaches privately as well as giving saxophone, clarinet, flute and jazz improvisation master classes, clinics and lessons at the elementary, secondary and university levels throughout Greater Vancouver.
